Vines are an uncommon drop from Man Eaters, which are located in the Underground Jungle biome. Vines are used to craft the Ivy Whip and the Jungle Pants.
It is recommended that you kill the head of a Man Eater, not the block it's attached to. Destroying the block will cause it to not drop anything.
