All statues in the game are shown up (version 1.2.2)
Every new world contains a random assortment of 57 Statues which are generated underground in every Biome, as well as 3 unique statues in the Lihzahrd Temple. These statues represent various NPC's, Monsters, Weapons, Items or Characters. There is a total of 108 statues both discovered and crafted.
Currently, there are 41 statues capable of spawning monsters and/or items. The King and Queen statues can be used to teleport NPC's based on gender. Statues are wired to spawn enemies/items by taking a wrench, touching wire to the base, connecting it to a Pressure Plate, switch or lever, and pressing whichever was used (Pressure Plate, Switch or Lever). Connecting it to a timer will cause it to continuously spawn the item/monster.
All statues take up 2 blocks when placed on the ground and some of them are 3 blocks high. While placed statues are not affected by lava, lava will destroy them if they are tossed in.

Tips[]
- If hunting for statues, one of the best ways to find them is to create a new world and look for nearby natural caves. If they're deep enough, they could easily lead to several statues, most often found in 'Underground Houses' and sometimes in glowing mushroom caverns.
- When powering multiple statues with the same effect that are in close proximity to each other, e.g. two Bomb Statues, they will be limited to producing three items altogether. So at first they will produce two bombs at the same time then if you don't pick them up the next time only one bomb will be produced, then after that, no more bombs will be created until the first three are picked up. Note: Stacking items will continue spawning until there are 3 stacks, thus with bombs the actual limit is 199 bombs.
- Mob spawning statues can be used in conjunction with shallow lava or traps to farm items for sale. Profitable statues include the Jellyfish Statue (drops the Jellyfish Necklace), the Bat Statue (drops the Depth Meter), the Skeleton Statue (drops hooks, the Bone Sword, the Ancient Gold Helmet, and the Ancient Iron Helmet), and the Piranha Statue (drops hooks).

- A good idea for spare statues, or those that are only used for decoration, is to use them in the organization of player storage. This can be a much better alternative to using signs, as players will easily know where they may have stored certain items and they won't have to read the signs to check. For example; Use the sword statue to symbolize 'Weapon' storage. As of 1.2.3 this is no longer quite as useful, as chest's can now be renamed and their name viewed by hovering the cursor over the chest.
- If an item-spawning statue is wired with a lever and timer setup, an additional item can be spawned by immediately switching off the lever as an item is spawned. This glitch doubles the amount of items spawned in the same amount of time.
Bugs[]
- [Patched in 1.2.4.1] There is a bug where when a statue, chest, or life crystal is placed on top of stone in water and broken with a hammer, it will duplicate. It does not work all the time.
- When in multiplayer only, monsters spawned from statues may still drop coins upon death.
- When a fish statue is activated during a rainstorm, the rainstorm spawning condition will override the statue spawning condition and as many goldfish as there are spawns allowed can be on the screen with each stack of goldfish (item). These stacks sell for about one gold each, and this can be an easy platinum farm when paired with other statues such as the jellyfish statues (for jellyfish necklaces), slime statues (for slime staffs), or bat statues (for depth meters). * Not verified for PC.*
