The Shroomite Armor is a high-tier, high-defense armor that specializes in increasing damage and critical chance of different ranged weapon projectiles.
This armor set will make the user nearly invisible to other players and has a running effect similar to other armor sets. The stealth activates quickly, allowing for rapid concealment during some of the more dangerous encounters with enemies. However, this state doesn't provide complete safety. Being in stealth mode will provide near-perfect invisibility, significant boosts to ranged capabilities, and lower aggression levels from enemies, but enemies will still target the player if they get close enough.
The full armor set requires 324 Chlorophyte Ore (54 Bars) and 810 Glowing Mushrooms to craft, regardless of which headgear is chosen. You will need an Adamantite Forge or Titanium Forge to create Chlorophyte Bars, as well as an Autohammer sold by Truffle to turn them into Shroomite Bars.
Use of this armor in PvP situations for its stealth ability can provide a significant advantage, hiding the player from all enemies in visual range.

Notes[]
- The full set bonus grants the ability to stealth. Standing stationary without using weapons or items will gradually turn the wearer invisible, finishing after ~2 seconds. Full stealth adds +60% damage to all ranged weapons, increases knockback by roughly one level, and adds +10% chance for criticals. The level of boost is linearly related to how invisible the wearer is. When moving, stealth will gradually strip based on how fast and how far the user is moving. As of 1.2.1.2, use of weapons and items will no longer cause the user to unstealth.
- Shroomite Armor is the only set able to give the player the "Stealth" ability prior to v.1.3x. As of 1.3x, the Vortex Armor has a similar capability and can be considered a direct upgrade.(Not identical to the Invisibility buff.)
- There is a typo where the Set Bonus Of the shroomite armor says "Not moving puts you stealth," Instead of "Not moving puts you into stealth,"
Trivia[]
- Where the Vortex Armor has a decidedly alien look, the Shroomite armor looks similar to more "industrial" science fiction. The Bullet configuration appears similar to soldiers from Final Fantasy games, the Arrow configuration bears some resemblance to Fallout's power armor, and the rocket variation resembles an armored spacesuit from various anime. This can make it appealing as a vanity armor.
