Shiverthorn is a material that is added in 1.2.4. It is only obtained by Shiverthorn plants that grow in Snow Biomes and Underground Snow Biomes.
The Shiverthorns will fully bloom at any point during gameplay, regardless of the weather, however they take a very long time to bloom. If harvested once fully bloomed, Shiverthorn Seeds will also drop regardless of the weather. Eight Potions can be made with Shiverthorn, all at an Alchemy Station.

- A fully bloomed Shiverthorn will also glow slightly, making them easier to find in the dark.
