The Sand Slime is a slime which spawns in the Desert. It follows the standard surface slime AI - it will remain neutral until it is attacked or night falls. It will also remain harmless if the player is equipped with a Royal Gel.
They are quite strong for an early-game enemy, having the same hitpoints as the Jungle Slime. Their attack damage can also be dangerous to unarmored players that ventures in the Desert without good equipment.
Defeating the Sand Slime is not necessary to unlock the Gelatin Tour achievement.
