The Obsidian Shield is an accessory that negates all knockback and contact damage from fire blocks, such as hellstone and meteorite, as well as granting a two point defense bonus. It is crafted by combining an Obsidian Skull with a Cobalt Shield at a Tinkerer's Workshop. This means the player will only have to occupy one equip slot for the effects of both the Obsidian Skull and the Cobalt Shield (being immunity to fire blocks and knockback, respectively.)
