The Heavy Skeleton is a monster that spawns uncommonly underground in Hard Mode worlds. It has the same appearance as the Armored Skeleton, but slightly bigger. Like the Armored Skeleton, they can inflict the Debuff "Broken Armor."

Although these monsters are relatively rare, they are not to be taken lightly due to being quite a bit more powerful than Armored Skeletons. Any strategies used for their weaker variants still apply to them, though they should be handled with proportionally more care. Ranged weaponry works quite well, as do Spears like the Dark Lance due to the fast speed and long reach.
