Flares are used by the Flare Gun, and they emit red light when shot. The Merchant will sell one Flare for 7 
if the player has found a Flare Gun before. Flares are also found in Chests, alongside a Flare Gun.
Once shot, the flare will continue in the direction clicked until it hits a wall. The flare will continue to emit light while it stays stuck to the wall for a short amount of time.
There is another variant; Blue Flares.

- The flares travel at around 60mph once shot from a Flare Gun
Bugs[]
- Pausing and double-jumping while having shot flares seems to sometimes put them out.
