Disc Wall

The Disc Wall is a placeable block in the background. Like most walls, it is used to stop monsters from spawning, as well as used for the housing of NPCs. They can be found in the "Sky Shrines" found on Floating Islands in worlds created after the 1.2 patch, and can be crafted from Sunplate Blocks.
