The Cobalt Hat can be crafted with 10 Cobalt Bars at an Iron Anvil/Lead Anvil. Wearing this as part of the Cobalt Armor set grants a reduction in mana usage. It is considered to be the weakest Hardmode Tier armor.

- It appears to be a traditional Japanese hat known as a Kasa, or in combat situations, Jingasa. The Cobalt Naginata is another reference to Japanese Samurai.
