The Climbing Claws are an accessory that allows the player to slide down walls and do a wall jump. It can be used to help players safely traverse large vertical drops, assuming there is a wall to slide down. When paired with Shoe Spikes, a player has increased wall friction, allowing them to continue sticking to a wall without sliding downwards. By pressing the 'down' key, with either or both accessories, a wall can be quickly descended without taking fall damage at the bottom.

- The player can slide quicker down walls using climbing claws if there are platforms on the walls like in the picture below. To do this technique, the player will have to hold the Left or Right arrow keys (depending on which side the wall is to the character) and also the down arrow key to drop through the platforms.
