The Chest Statue is a statue found Underground. It spawns a Mimic when wired to a trigger. Up to three statue-spawned Mimics may be alive at one time. These Mimics will not drop anything except for the Mimic Banner.

- Spawned Mimics are adapted to the environment the statue is placed in. For example, activating the statue in The Underworld will yield a Shadow Chest. One spawned on the surface, however, will have the appearance of an ordinary Chest.
- The Chest Statue can be used to spawn Mimics in pre-Hardmode worlds. It is not advisable to do so, as Mimics can be hard to kill without Hardmode equipment.
