The Butcher's Chainsaw is a Hardmode Chainsaw dropped by the Butcher during a Solar Eclipse.
The chainsaw emits sparks when used and, will produce sparks that damage nearby enemies provided that it is attacking an enemy, which deals magic damage instead of melee or ranged. It can inflict the On Fire! debuff (Critters won't cause sparks when attacked).
It has an impressive axe power, tied with many other axes, and hamaxes as 150%. While the item's technically considered as a tool by the game files, it was also intentionally given high stats so it'd work as a great melee weapon. It can also attack multiple enemies simultaneously.
It has the highest knockback of any tool in the game and one of the only few melee weapons that deals non-melee damage.
