The Black Slime is a Slime variant arguably equal to the Yellow Slime. They are identical in stats, other than the Defense stat, in which the Black Slime is weaker. The Black Slime, however, drops more coins, and has the ability to inflict the Darkness debuff.

- This slime is not to be mistaken with the Mother Slime, which is similar in appearance. They can be distinguished by size, as the Mother Slime is much larger.
- This slime is hard to detect in dark caverns, and it might catch the player by surprise.
