The Black Recluse is a spider monster that spawns in underground Spider Nests during Hard Mode. It is considerably important for obtaining the Poison Staff and also the only way to get Spider Fangs. It can be quite deadly as it is hard to see in the darkness, and they inflict high damage and the venom debuff, making them a threat to players with low defense. They replace the spawning of Wall Creepers in hardmode. On Expert Mode, they gain the ability to shoot a short ranged, indestructible projectile called Web spit that will inflict the Webbed debuff and completely immobilize the player for 1 second.
