The Hallow

In journey mode, does the hallow spread even if I have infection spread turned off? I really want to know, because I'm making a world that's just the hallow (because i want to) and I just want to know if I can make my whole world the hallow without it becoming an only crimson world. Please help.

I was farming voodoo dolls and one fell in the lava, so I beat up the wall, and the Hallow spawned in my jungle. It couldn't corrupt the mud, so it corrupted just the random stone blocks lol. I've never had it spawn in my Jungle before.

The Creation:

Long ago, the universe was created. We, as NPCs, do not know what created this. Some theorize a large bang, some theorize higher powers. What we know however, is we are on our land, our World.

The Split:

Our world is split into 5 separate lands, The Overworld, our forests, tundras, deserts, jungles, oceans. The Underworld, the complete opposite to the Overworld, it is a barren, humid landscape, full of Demons, and other weird creatures. The Crimson, or more commonly known as "The Underworlds Daughter". Because it comes from the Underworld. It is full of strange creatures, even stranger than the Underworld! The Corruption, the "Underworlds Son". It is more purple compared to the red crimson. Likely how they got their names. And, it to, has strange creatures... The Hallow, formed by a great Deity, who has now been sealed away in the King of the Underworld. It was a land of the fantasies and dreams.

The Beginning:

It all started when a higher power named Cthulu invaded our towns, cities, settlements, his great, destructive powers (way stronger than the ones we know he has today) demolished our settlements. And we were forced to surrender to him and his armies. He ruled with terror, The Hallow seemed to be able to fend him of, and he wasn't interested in the Underworld. Cthulu destroyed any villages and or cities he wanted. One time he even thought about destroying our race entirely. However, he had grown far to weak to do so, as he had ages over the millenniums of his reign. Thus, the people revolted, and eventually defeated Cthulu, he was sealed on what we thought was the unreachable Moon. He lost many parts of his body, his Liver, his Eyes, his Brain.

The Moon Lord:

Cthulu, or more commonly known as The Moonlord, (because he was trapped on the Moon) was unable to leave. And he had very limited resources and space. He created 4 beings, each made out of their unique impacts.

The Solar Pillar. Created from the harshest of the Sun's Rays. Had the power of the day-night cycle.

The Stardust Pillar. Created from the largest, fastest comets. Had the power over nearby celestial objects.

The Nebula Pillar. Created from the farthest, strongest Nebulas. Had the power over even the furthest stars.

The Vortex Pillar. Created from the strangest wormholes and vortexes. Had the power over the mind, and parts of the Universe itself!

The 1st Rift:

The First Rift marks the beginning of the Under Revolution. The Crimson and Corruption, both fighting for independance. Eventually, the King was overthrown, and was replaced by the Moonlord's Flesh. The Crimson and Corruption both became Surface Biomes. Spreading like weeds, both swiftly gained rulers. The Moonlord's Brain for the Crimson, and its Liver for the Corruption.

I was in the hallow biome when I had a idea for a build tree islands idk what design I should've done so here's a pic and when you are done looking at them tell which you like best

I made a world so i could get the alteritve ores of colbalt, mythril, and adamite.

I defeated WoF on that world and hardmode started, but it glitched out and made another crimson zone insted of a hallowed zone.

And should I let it spred EVERYWHERE?

So i heard somewhere that killing plantera increases the crimson/corruption/hallow spreading speed

Does it stack? I don't know by how much it gets speed up but let's just say it speeds up by 1.25%

If you kill it once, the spreading speed, goes up by 1.25%

And then let's just say you kill it another time. Does it go up by another 1.25%?

If yes, how much faster does it go when a player kills plantera 25 times?

(keep in mind that 1.25% was just a example and isn't actually the right number and was just made up for a example)

1.25% is actually a bit too big if it does actually stack 🤔

I have been in the underground hallow for a long time and I still haven't gotten RoD. I have killed 450 chaos elementals already! I even got a Hallowed key before RoD!! I also got a slime staff! Idk what to do now

Read the "2 new biomes" paragraph and you'll see the error

Build a flat surface in the corruption/crimson/hollow and give it walls. Spawn the old ones army, since they spawned in one of the biomes, they have a chance to drop the biome's key. And that's a lot of monsters. For wave 1-5 you can kill all just by ramming them with blessed apple, you should shoot dark caster as the unicorn won't kill it.

My world is 54% corrupt and 30% hallow. I defeated the golem and Martian madness event. But, when I tried duke fishron, I tried the best strategy until I realized my beach was small and hallowed, so all he does is become enraged. The other side of the world’s beach is corrupted and also small. I used my world ever since 1.2 came out and I was always scared to defeat bosses, so all I did was wait. The corruption grew SO fast whenever I entered hardmode. I spread the hallow around my world to stop it and I have no purity in my world left (as I know of, even though it combined hasn’t reach 100%). I tried lunatic cultist 4 times and ended up dying (and I always defeat bosses with my friends) because I don’t have post-duke fishron equipment. I ended up being broke because the goblin tinkerer stole all my money when I was trying to reforge my accessories to warding for a boss fight. Yes, all my accessories are warding now. But I still keep failing EVEN with my friends. I put so much effort into my world and now it is useless garbage. The corruption was soo close to getting to my home until I started to spread the hallow. I have four corruptions in my world, and none of my beaches are purified. I am on Xbox One. What should I do? Also, don’t mind my username, my sister picked it in september. I have a full set of shroomite armor, celestial shell, (the boots where you can walk on lava, honey, and water, forgot what they are called), frostpark boots, and a yo-yo bag. I am a ranger and my friend is a mage. (They have specter armor)
